PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device allowing smooth injection of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve disposed within an intake passage into a combustion chamber through an extension pipe. SOLUTION: The extension pipe 1a of the fuel injection valve 1 provided in a position upstream of an intake valve 5 is disposed approximately parallel to the inner wall part 4 of the intake passage 2 to minimize its projected cross- sectional area within the intake passage 2 to a minimize resistance to intake flow 3. Also, the extension pipe 1a is disposed in proximity to the inner wall part 4 of the intake passage 2 so that a fuel injection hole part 10 is located on an injection axis 6 brought close to the axis 8 of the intake valve 5. When a spray of fuel 7 is injected into the combustion chamber 12 from that position, air-fuel mixtures 7a and 7b flowing into the cylinder of the combustion chamber 12 via the periphery of the bevel part 5a of the intake valve 5 more readily flow into the cylinder in a uniform fashion within an area downstream of the bevel part 5a of the intake valve 5. This has the effect of restraining the air-fuel mixtures 7a and 7b flowing into the cylinder of the combustion chamber 12 from clinging to the inner wall surface 9 of the cylinder.
