PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material supplying device with which raw material powders for reduced iron are charged with carbonaceous-containing powders placed as a bedding layer on a furnace hearth in a moving bed hearth furnace so as to form the raw material powder layer with a thin uniform thickness to produce a metallic iron having excellent quality and uniformity at a high efficiency. SOLUTION: The raw material powders in a raw material supplying hopper 11 are discharged so as to be fleely adjustable to the supplying quantity, with a vibrating feeder 13 and the discharged raw material powders are naturally dropped in each section of a vertical raw material supplying duct 14 communicated with a raw material passing-through hole 3a arranged at the furnace roof part 3 of the moving bed hearth furnace 1 and divided with plural partition member 15 in the width direction of the furnace hearth 2 through the raw material supplying hole 14a of the raw material supplying duct 14 from the discharging hole of the vibration feeder 13, and supplied onto the furnace hearth 2 in the moving bed hearth furnace 1.
