PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image blurring perfectly by checking the occurrence of a filming on an image carrier over a long period. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a cleaning device 17 for cleaning the surface of a photoreceptor 3 being the image carrier after transferring a toner image around the photoreceptor 3. The cleaning device 17 is equipped with a cleaning roller 50 and a cleaning blade 51. The cleaning roller 50 comes into contact with the photoreceptor 3 on a more upstream position in a photoreceptor rotating direction than a position where it comes into contact with the cleaning blade 51. The cleaning blade 51 has abrasive whose particle size is <=0.008 mm and automatically comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 3 through the abrasive in accordance with the number of image formed sheets or every time the power source of the device main body is turned on by providing a contacting/separating mechanism. The hardness of the photoreceptor 3 is set high so that the photoreceptor 3 is not damaged by the cleaning blade 51. |
