PURPOSE: An automatic order processing system for representing electronic commerce sites and a method for operating thereof are provided to automatically process an order, generated at an electronic commerce site, through an electronic commerce proxy system instead of the site. CONSTITUTION: If a customer(A) accesses an electronic commerce system(B) and orders an article(1), the electronic commerce system(B) transmits order information to a client proxy(H) and an electronic commerce system manager(C,2). The client proxy(H) transmits the order information to a server stub(G,3). The server stub(G) transfers the order information to an automatic order processing web site(F)(4). The automatic order processing web site(F) requests a physical distribution system(I) to deliver the ordered article(5). The physical distribution system(I) delivers the article to the customer(A), and inputs a delivery processing result to the automatic order processing web site(F,6). After reporting the result to the electronic commerce system manager(C) and the server stub(G), the automatic order processing web site(F) calls the G2 program of the server stub(G,7). The server stub(G) notifies an order processing result of the client proxy(H). At this moment, the server stub(G) calls the H3 program of the client proxy(H,8). The client proxy(H) transfers the order processing result to the electronic commerce system(B,9). The electronic commerce system(B) shows the order processing result to the customer(A).
