PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil dimension retainer which can easily holding coil dimension, hold a spring-back force efficiently, and produce a very small quantity of foreign substance. SOLUTION: This coil dimension retainer comprises a tension member 13 width is provided with a plane part in contact with a plane of a coil 1 and a screw 13b formed in the lengthwise direction of a plane 13a, a contact piece 14 which is brought into contact with tightening plates 5 and 6 on both sides of a coil width 1f and is attachable and detachable to the tension member 13, and a stopper 15 which is brought into contatc with the contact piece 14 and is engaged with the tension member 13 and screw 13b, and is attachable and detachable as necessary, and a pressing device 10 including a pressing part 11 is provided under the coil.
