PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedometer, with which not only exactness in the average number of steps can be maintained but also interest in exercises can be continued while having a function for displaying the average number of steps per day even when mounting is forgotten. SOLUTION: When the number of steps on a certain day is equal to or less than a setting value N in ST23, no mounting of the pedometer is decided and step number data for that day with no mounting are not used for calculating the average number of steps. When the number of steps on that day is more than the setting value N, mounting of the pedometer is decided, the number of steps on that day is added to the total number of steps (ST24), '1' is added to the number of days (ST25), the total number of steps is divided with the number of days, and the average number of steps per day is calculated (ST26).
