PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and construction of base isolation for reinforced concrete wall, by which the floating allowable structure of a building setting a large aspect ratio with respect to rocking motions caused by earthquakes can be realized with a reinforced concrete(RC) wall. SOLUTION: Impact buffer members which support the RC wall and have through-holes for passing dowel bars are placed on the upper surface of foundation concrete, from which the dowel bars are protruded by required lengths and the dowel bars are caused to stand up through the through-holes. Then the edges of the contacting sections of the members with the RC wall and the build-up sections of the dowel bars are cut off by using a release agent. Thereafter, the RC wall which floats accompanying rocking vibrations is constructed by arranging reinforcing bars and assembling a form on the members, and then placing concrete.
