PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display surface to be large in size as to a planar display device in which pixels are arranged in a matrix shape in crossways. SOLUTION: In an organic EL display device 1 having a structure in which two kinds of electrodes of signal electrodes (column electrodes) Y, Y,... and scanning electrodes (row electrodes) X, X,... are arranged so as to intersect roughly in a grid shape, the scanning electrodes are divided into three areas (an area A, an area B and an area C) in its longitudinal direction to be arranged. Then, different scanning driving signal are made to be supplied to scanning electrodes of the three areas A, B, C. |
