PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic processing method and photographic processing device which make the characters, etc., constituting a message easily visible, when photographic paper is printed with the message together with a film image. SOLUTION: This device has a digital exposure device, which forms a photographic print by exposing the image to a photosensitive material and a keyboard 22, which is capable of inputting message information. The device is capable of exposing the message information together with the image to the photosensitive material by the digital exposure device. The device has a decision mechanism 21a, which decides whether the inputted message information is a color tone different from the color tone at a point where the photosensitive material is printed with the image. In addition, the device has a control mechanism 21, which automatically prints the photosensitive material with the message information to the different color tones by the result of the decision of the deciding mechanism 21a.
