PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone call processing method and its equipment which is capable of processing various kinds of services at a low cost and has flexibility and general applicability by recognizing customer dial information and voice to a customized dialing request. SOLUTION: In response to the reception of a service request or a call- incoming request from a call originating station, the call originating station is connected to a number receiver in an exchange system and an information processing peripheral device. Whether dial information for setting a call is requested from the information processing peripheral device is tested within the information processing peripheral device. When it is decided that the dial information is requested from the information processing peripheral device, an additional character concerning the call is provided to the exchange system in response to this decision and the exchange system controls setting of the call. In general, the information processor includes a speech recognition device, and when testing, the existence of a keyword is tested.
