The drive has a pair of actuators (3A,B) formed by a threaded rods operated by hydraulic cylinders placed along the vertical edges of the panels. One actuators draws the panels together. A second actuators has a rod guided for translation parallel to the horizontal edges of the panels to accurately align the shuttering. The actuators are connected by a synchronizing drive (4) to respond to movement of one actuator by operating the others in sequence.
