PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive system for motor in which fluctuation in the voltage of an intermediate circuit can be compensated by eliminating the effect of an allowable overshoot on the single phase main voltage. SOLUTION: A drive system comprising a rectifier, a high frequency filter, a static inverter and an induction motor is driven through power supply of single phase main voltage without requiring an energy storing section. In synchronism with the main voltage, an envelope generator preferably generates a sine wave envelope signal which is superposed on an output signal from the static inverter thus eliminating the effect of an allowable overshoot on the single phase main voltage. |
