PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance-measuring device which can accurately measure the distance from a projector to an object, even when the optical axis of the light emitted from the projector gets out of position. SOLUTION: A scanner head 10 is provided with a light-emitting element 2 and light-receiving elements 4 and 6. The elements 4 and 6 are respectively positioned on the left and right side of the optical axis L1 of the light emitted from the element 2. The light emitted from the element 2 is diffused, after forming an image on the surface of the object 20. Part of the diffused light forms images on the light-receiving elements 4 and 6. The distance between the light-emitting element 2 and object 20 are calculated in two values OB4 and OB6, based on the image forming positions on the elements 4 and 6. The distance OBn between the element 2 and object 20 is decided through averaging the two calculated distances OB4 and OB6.
