PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cooling device, capable of properly controlling a cooling water flow rate to a cylinder block and a cylinder head according to an engine load, avoiding supercooling of the cylinder block in a low load, reducing the friction loss of a cylinder liner inner face, and reducing specific fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This engine cooling device for circulating cooling water for cooling the cylinder block and the cylinder head of the engine has a load detection means detecting the engine load, an engine speed detection means for detecting an engine speed, a flow regulation means for regulating the flow rate of at least one of the cooling water flowing through a cooling passage of the cylinder block and the cooling water flowing through a cooling passage of the cylinder head, and a control means for controlling operation of the flow regulation means, on the basis of the engine load detected by the load detection means and the engine speed detected by the engine speed detection means.
