PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anionic water-soluble polymer aqueous solution having good dispersibility, because the aqueous solution of the usual anionic water-soluble polymer is hardly dispersed in a paper making material due to its high viscosity and has a problem to obtain paper with evenness, when the aqueous solution of the usual anionic water-soluble polymer is added with a cationic or amphoteric polymer to improve the yield on wires in a paper-making process. SOLUTION: This method for improving the yield, characterized by adding and mixing one or more substances selected from cationic water-soluble polymers, amphoteric polymers, cationic starch and amphoteric starch to a raw material for making paper and then adding an anionic water-soluble polymer whose apparent viscosity is lowered with an inorganic salt or an inorganic acid.
