PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive shoulder pad easy to produce, good in formability, having smooth and well-finished state, and excellent in wear feeling and appearance, and to provide a method for producing such a shoulder pad. SOLUTION: This shoulder pad comprises such a core body 1 that the reverse face is formed as recessed curved part, while the surface as thick-walled part thicker towards the center and the peripheral rim as projected thin-walled part, and a cloth 2 wholly covering both the surface and reverse face of the core body 1 and firmly fixed onto the core body 1; wherein the core body 1 is fabricated by hot-pressing one to three sheets of nonwoven fabrics made of fibers and an adhesive, in this case the fibers to be used are synthetic or natural fibers or a mixtures thereof. It is preferable, in consideration of the human body's collarbone an scapula parts, that this shoulder pad is formed in such a fashion that the front side relatively thin and small in area and the rear side thick an large in area, with the ridge line as boundary.
