PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shading woven fabric for a curtain light and easy to treat, excellent in drape properties, providing one a refreshing feeling, and freely and easily washable. SOLUTION: This shading woven fabric for a curtain is obtained by weaving a dense woven fabric in which either a warp density or a weft density is made denser than the other, an extra fine yarn having <=1.0 dtex single filament fineness is used at least one of the warp and the weft having a higher density and which has 100-300 g/cm2 weight and <=30 cc/cm2.sec air permeability. A yarn constituting one side of the woven fabric in which the warp or the weft having the higher density mainly appears is colored in a dark color, an optical reflectance on one side of the woven fabric is <=50% and the shading ratio of the whole woven fabric is >=99.80%.
