PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an oil separator having a simple constitution at reduced cost. SOLUTION: This compressor has a separation chamber 11 formed into the shape of an approximately cylindrical hole, the open end of the separation chamber 11 being formed as a connection to a delivery pipeline 20, with a separation pipe 12a fitted inward of the connection of the separation chamber 11. A joint 12, which is usually finished through cutting while integrating the separation pipe 12a and the connection of the delivery pipeline 20 with each other, can then be obtained by simply pressing a pipe and forming only the portion of the separation pipe 12a, so that yields and productivity are enhanced and the costs of parts can be greatly reduced. Further, the need for using a sealing O-ring 16 and a bolt 17 fixing the joint 12 in place and for machining a tapped hole therefor is eliminated and costs can be reduced. Also, because the delivery pipeline 20 is directly connected to a rear housing 4 without the intervention of the joint 12, a pipeline connection becomes compact and the structure requires only one sealed part as compared with a conventional structure requiring two sealed parts, resulting in increased reliability.
