PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically receive and store a message from a call destination and to surely provide it after a user can be on the telephone in a plurality of periods where it is learnt that the user cannot be on the telephone. SOLUTION: The registration of a call stop period becoming a call stop mode is received through a key operation part 31 and it is registered in an EEPROM 24. The EEPROM 24 can store a plurality of call stop periods. When a control part 20 cooperates with a clock circuit 25 and the call stop period where the arrival of start time is detected exists, a self-machine is set to the call stop mode. When an incoming call arrives, an automatic response is made and message information from a calling source is stored in the message information storage area of the EEPROM 24. When the control part 20 cooperates with the clock circuit 25 and detects the arrival of the termination time of the call stop period where the arrival of start time is detected, the call stop mode is released.
