The handling device (10) has a base frame provided with a chassis (13) mounted on rollers, with displacement of the test head (11) relative to the chassis in a first direction (Y), for docking with a handler (18). The chassis is open on the side facing the handler and fits around the outside of the latter in the docking position. An Independent claim for a method for adjusting a test head relative to a handler is also included.
