<p>A sound-insulating member combining high vibration-damping performance with high sound-insulating performance; a vibration-damping material constituting the member; and a resin composition for obtaining the material. A first embodiment of the resin composition for a vibration-damping material comprises 100 parts by weight of a chlorinated thermoplastic resin and 20 to 200 parts by weight of a chlorinated paraffin having 12 to 16 carbon atoms on the average. The chlorinated thermoplastic resin has a chlorine content of desirably 20 to 70 wt.%, preferably 30 to 70 wt.%. The chlorinated paraffin has a combined chlorine content of desirably 30 to 70 wt.%, preferably 35 to 65 wt.%.</p> |
