<p>An improved system and method for digitally editing or printing a composite image, for example a 'view' or panorama (4) of a card (3) with a face of a person or subject (6) included in said 'view' (4), the system and method allowing a video-camera (18) to carry out taking operations in a free taking field, i.e. with the subject (6) on a 'dynamic' background. A cropping of the subject (6) is carried out by operating on two images, i.e. a first virtual image, formed by a 'reference background' and a second image, formed by a 'background-subject assembly', and the subject (6) is embedded in the 'view' (4) by physically replacing the pixels of the 'view' (4) by the pixels defining the subject (6). Thus, no monochromatic backgrounds in the form of curtains and box wall are necessary, and the system housing apparatus can be installed in any desired environment.</p> |
