The use of fibrinogen receptor antagonists (I) for preventing or treating the consequences of chronic or acute exudation of plasma/tissue proteins of the anterior eye region (ciliary body, retina) and posterior eye region (e.g. vitreous humor, choroid and retina), due to infections, autoimmune reactions, metabolic disorders and allergies, is new.
