<p>The invention provides a high-sensitivity optical recording medium suitable for high-speed recording. An optical recording medium comprises a substrate on which a recording layer is formed for laser writing and/or reading. The recording layer includes a chelate coloring matter, which consists of two or more azo compounds of different structures, and metallic ions having a valence of two or more. The azo compounds are selected from those expressed by a general formula (I) and a general formula (II).</p> |
