The present invention concerns a tool-holder consisting of at least a support-block (1) whereon are mounted tool-holding arms consisting of modular sections (2). The invention is characterised in that said sections (2) consist of extruded portions machined to provide two end flanges (6) provided with at least three peripheral longitudinal bores (8), the assembling of a section (2) to another part such as another section (2), a support-block (1), an interface (15) or a support (16) being produced by means of tapped sockets (17) with shouldered head (18) respectively adjusted in one of said bores (8) with the head (18) of the socket (17) pressed against the inner surface of the flange (6) of the corresponding section (2), each socket (17) being inserted at least partly into a corresponding bore (19) of said other part, a screw (20) being screwed into the tapped bore of each of said sockets (17) at the end opposite to said head (18) with interposed at least a washer (21) or at least a spacer. The invention is applicable to assembly lines for motor vehicle body parts. |
