PURPOSE: Provided is an electric toothbrush using a laser sterilizing function, which sterilizes bacteria remaining in teeth and a gum by irradiating laser beam to hairs of a tooth brush with operating an electric toothbrush. CONSTITUTION: A main body of a toothbrush is divided into 2 more spaces by a separator; A battery charged and discharged from outside is built in one space, a motor driven by a power from the battery is built in another space, and a controller is also built in the third space. A penetrating tube is formed vertically in a toothbrush holder to contain a rotating axis having a connecting groove capable of separating and combining with a motor axis. A connecting projection capable of separating and combining with a hook of the main body is formed in the lower part of the toothbrush holder. A main gear with a connecting groove separating and combining with a connector of the rotating axis is located in the lower space of the main body. An auxiliary gear engaging with and supporting the main gear is arranged in the side of the main gear. A gear unit engaging with the main gear is formed in the rear part of the main gear. A rotating body with a catching groove connected with a hook of a tooth brush hair board is connected to a hook with gearing and rotating with the main gear. In a center of the toothbrush hair board whose hook is connected with the catching groove to combine with the rotating body, a penetrating tube is perforated. Several hairs are planted in the front side of the toothbrush hair board. A laser diode is equipped to irradiate a laser beam through a penetrating tube. A cover is formed in the rear side of a head of the holder to install the laser diode inside.
