A probe unit capable of preventing a measuring instrument from being ruptured by the static electricity charged on a circuit board, comprising a pair of pins (1a, 1b) coming in contact with circuit wirings (101) on the circuit board (100), wherein a switch (1d) is provided to shortcircuit the pins (1a, 1b) to each other so that the pins can be disconnected electrically from each other, the switch (1d) is closed the moment the pins (1a, 1b) come into contact with the circuit wirings (101) so as to shortcircuit the pins (1a, 1b) to each other in order to escape the static electricity to the ground, and then the switch (1d) is opened so as to perform the measuring.
