POLY(PHOSPHONOARYLACETYLENE) AND CHIRAL SENSOR COMPRISING THE SAME

A water-soluble polymer which has higher sensitivity and is responsive to th e chirality of a wide range of optically active isomers. It is a poly(phosphonoarylacetylene) represented by the following formula (I) or a salt thereof, (wherein Ar represents an aryl substituted by a phosphite grou p; and n is an integer of 5 or larger). Also provided is a chiral sensor or optical resolver each comprising the poly(phosphonoarylacetylene) or its sal t.
