Plunger comprises a base (11) fixed to a plunger rod. A hollow cylindrical sliding body (13) is mounted on the base, the sliding body being formed by at least one slit ring (14, 15). The slit completely divides the ring at a point where both sections of the ring interact with each other so that the ring can be radially expanded. Preferred Features: The slit has an OMICRON shape. The sliding body is composed of several slit rings, in which the slits of the rings are arranged offset from each other in the peripheral direction.
