A cylinder (2) has two overflow windows (15,12) opening into the combustion chamber and connected to overflow channels (14). The frame surfaces (31,41) of both windows facing the outlet (10) in peripheral direction of the cylinder bore, extend approx. parallel to the cylinder axis (17) and are located in parallel planes (39,49). The outer frame surface (32,41) of one window is located in the same plane as the outer side wall (50,51) of the overflow channels.
