Novel nociceptin receptor agonists. Peptide derivatives represented by the general formula (1) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein A represents alkylene, -(CH2)nCO- or the group represented by the formula (2) or (3), n is an integer of from 1 to 8; X and Y are the same or different and each represents CONH- or CH2NH-; R?1, R2 and R3¿ are the same or different and each represents alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl; and Z represents CON(R4)R5 or CH¿2?N(R?4)R5¿ (wherein R?4 and R5¿ are the same or different and each represents hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl). Medicinal compositions which are useful as nociceptin receptor agonists.
