Decorative strip for internal use in cars comprises an upper strip (1) with a decorative outer surface (5). This fits into a recess in a lower strip (2), inside an upwardly-sloping outer section with a different decorative outer surface (6). The edges (3) of the upper strip are cut and fit into shallower recesses (4) so that they are form a butt joint (7) with the back of the sloping section. An Independent claim is included for a method for making the strip.
