A shelf subassembly (1021) is provided for adjustably supporting a flat panel (1022). The shelf subassembly is itself supportable in an adjustable CRT support subassembly (1066), which is supported in a monitor support assembly (1020). The shelf subassembly includes a panel support portion (1200) for supporting the flat panel display, and a securing device (1204) connected to the panel support portion for operably and removably connecting the shelf subassembly to the CRT support subassembly.
