A parking gear (86) is arranged on a counter shaft (12) corresponding to a synchronization mechanism (84) arranged by an input shaft (10). The synchronization mechanism connects outside portion of the input shaft to the input shaft side gear of a gear pair. The gear pair has a counter shaft side gear set in one advance stage and supported non-rotatably to the counter shaft. The input shaft side gear is rotatably supported to the input shaft. A side cover (44) is provided for the protrusion area while the gear pair is set in one advance stage between the input shaft and counter shaft. The input shaft and counter shaft are set in a transmission case (8).
