The device for the return of workpieces from the end of a manufacturing line to its start includes a transfer unit(2) with a first(5) and a second(15) conveyor path. The second conveyor path can turn around a horizontal pivot point(17) lying close to the end which is furthest from the return path(3). The end of the second conveyor path adjacent to the return path is movable back and forth between the level of the first conveyor path and level of the return path.
