At least one image detector (16) detects the electromagnetic radiation from a scanned detection area (25) having light planes (17-22) that are arranged in succession. The frequency, frequency spectrum and intensity detected by the image detector changes as a function of time due to the light particles going out of the detection area. An Independent claim is also included for a flow analysis device.
