SPEED SENSOR RETAINING BUSHING AND ASSEMBLY

A self-adjusting retention bushing (32) and assembly for a vehicle anti-lock braking system using a resilient spring bushing (44) with an integral lockin g prong (42) is described. The locking prong (42) is deflected and spring load ed to engage the sensor relative to the bushing. The deflected locking prong (4 2) also resists retraction of the bushing (32) from the mounting block. The locking features prevent inadvertent movement of the sensor during assembly, repair or use.
