<p>A surface treating article including a surface conditioning member (40), a fastener (12) including a generally planar surface and a drive member (18), and a layer of adhesive (24) between the surface conditioning member (40) and the planar surface (14) of said fastener (12), where the layer of adhesive includes rotational orientation. The present invention also provides a preferred method of attaching a fastener (12) to a surface conditioning member (40) that includes inducing relative rotation between a fastener (12) and a surface conditioning member (40) with a layer of adhesive (24) in contact with a planar surface (14) of the fastener (12) and the surface conditioning member (40) so as to soften the layer of adhesive (24) and thereafter stopping the relative rotation between the fastener (12) and the surface treating member (40).</p> |
