A holder for a motor with a cylindrical motor housing has: a bearing housing surrounding the motor housing (1) with a radial spacing; and a damping element inserted between the motor housing and the bearing housing. The damping element consists of a sleeve (2) of elastic material surrounding the motor housing on the periphery. It is slotted on the longitudinal side for the radial assembly and its two long edges are accommodated in a corresponding fixing groove (4) of the bearing housing by forming a fixing leg buffer.
