<p>Method and apparatuses for tracking Internet use with a Network Operations Center (NOC) (250). Internet/Web use is tracked by generating multiple requests, by the middleware server (330), in response to a link being selected. At least one request provides the Web site or other resources indicated by the link through the satellite communications devices (240). At least one other request is sent to a Web server (310), within the NOC (250) that tracks requests. In one embodiment, the tracking request is a request for a document that does not exist on the Internet. The tracking server, within the NOC (250) logs requests for the non-existent Web sites. The error log, within the database (360), then tracks the Web use of a user through the WAN (200).</p> |
