A METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING CYTOKINE SECRETING CELLS USING A POLYCATIONIC SUBSTANCE

A method for identifying cytokine secreting cells is described which is characterized by the steps: providing a suspension of cells which contains antigen specific cells capable of secreting at least one type of cytokines upon activation with a specific antigen; incubation of the suspension of cells with the specific antigen in the presence of a polycationic substance, which results in a cytokine secretion of the antigen specific cells; and identifying the cytokine secreting cells by detecting the secreted cytokine, and a kit for performing this method.
