<p>A method of forming tubular irrigation drip tape includes the steps of: a) extruding a web (10) of material having a pair of longitudinally extending, substantially parallel marginal edges; b) heating a center area of the web between and substantially parallel to the marginal edges utilizing a first focused infrared heating device (32); c) applying one or more secondary flow path components to the center area (36); d) heating the marginal edges, utilizing a second and third focused infrared heating device (38,40); e) folding the web such that the marginal edges overlap to form a seam (42); and f) applying pressure to the seam.</p> |
