<p>The present invention relates to a portable AC arc welding apparatus, which is capable of lengthening its workable period of time by employing as a cooling medium the mixture of paraffin wax, and a chemical addition or heat transfer material having superior thermal conductivity so as to effectively transfer and dissipate heat that is generated during a welding process. The object of the present invention is to provide a portable AC arc welding apparatus, which is capable of lengthening its workable period of time by effectively transferring heat that is generated in its interior, to its container. The present invention provides a portable AC arc welding apparatus, comprising: a container on the outer and inner surfaces of which a plurality of fins having wide surface areas are formed; a power transformer around which a plurality of wires are wound, the power transformer being inserted into the center portion of the interior of the container and electrically connected to a welding rod and a clamp by means of a welding cable; a lid positioned on the top of the container and provided with a plurality of terminals that are electrically connected to the power transformer; and a cooling medium for heat transfer and insulation, with which the container is filled to the extent that the power transformer is submerged.</p> |
