A method for preparing a methanol reforming catalyst of copper-zinc-aluminum type through the co-precipitation method, which comprises utilizing a copper compound, a zinc compound and aluminum hydroxide, mixing these compounds with an alkaline material to thereby form a precipitate, and burning the precipitate, and a method which further comprises subjecting the resulting burned product to a hydrogenation treatment. The preparing method provides a catalyst for reforming methanol which has high activity, high heat resistance and long life, and specifically, can be used for a long period of time even under a reaction condition of 300°C or higher.
|
