New recombinant antibody specific for native gp96, useful for isolating gp96 as complex with endogenous peptides, used for autologous immunotherapy of e.g. tumor

Recombinant antibody (Ab) that binds native gp96, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) purifying gp96 by applying a clarified cell lysate to a matrix containing immobilized Ab, then recovering bound gp96; (2) gp96 with bound peptides, prepared by (1); (3) device for purifying native gp96 that contains Ab; (4) kit for purifying or detecting native gp96 containing Ab; (5) nucleic acid, especially DNA, that codes for Ab; (6) host cells containing coding sequences for Ab; (7) matrix, especially Sepharose or a polyacrylamide gel carrying Ab; and (8) isolating peptides (I), bound to native gp96, from cells of warm-blooded animals (especially those with disease) by using method (1).
