The geo-radar system includes a pair of transmitter/receiver antennas (1,2). These are operated in alternation, monostatically. They are spaced (a) apart at right angles to the direction of travel, are coupled together and have slight mutual inclination ( alpha ) such that their radiation patterns (3,4) partially overlap. Couplers extract trigger pulses and analog signals received, from connecting lines between antennas and the radar control unit. They are sent to the on-line data processing unit.
