A system and method for providing a visual indication of a condition of a network adapted to interface with one or more wireless devices. The inventiv e system includes a circuit for providing an electrical signal indicative of a t least one network condition. A second circuit is included for providing, in response to the electrical signal, a sensory output signal representive of t he occurrence of the condition. In the illustrative application, the first circuit is a Network Access Point and the networked devices are Bluetooth enabled. In one embodiment, the sensory output signal is provided by a plurality of light emitting diodes mounted on the Network Access Point. In a preferred embodiment, the Network Access Point is equipped with a Bluetooth transmitter. Network status output signals are received by a Bluetooth receiver mounted in a Personal Digital Assistant.
