Sealed box for tapping a cable

The box has a compressed seal ensuring good seal at points of cable entry. The sealed box comprises an access point for a loop of cable (3) folded into a U-shape, the cable passing into the box through an aperture formed in one wall (6). The aperture is surrounded by a carrier supporting a joint which offers external tubes (13) for the cable. A joint (15) comprises a band which closes the aperture, with two plugs projecting from the ends of the band. These two plugs provide stoppers in the tubes are each traversed by a conduit for the cable to pass through. A compression device is fixed to the box, and provides auxiliary seals (20), with further sealing devices including a ring (29) and seal (30) to press the plugs into the tubes and on to the cables which pass through them.
