The main current path of an output bipolar transistor (1) is earthed (4) through the stray inductance (5) of a collector conductor (6) formed e.g. by the earth connection (4) in a semiconductor integrated circuit. This transistor functions as the output branch of a current mirror incorporating an input transistor (8) fed from a second DC source (11), and a driver transistor (16) delivering the base currents of the mirror transistors (1,8) and a first DC source (10). Compensation is provided by an additional current mirror (2,9) and driver (17) with further DC sources (12,13).
