The object of the present invention is to disclose a method of forming integrally an axis on a metallic plate at an arbitrary position thereof and perpendicularly to the surface thereof. The method comprises a first step of forward squeezing performed by a pressing process applied to a metallic plate 1 and a second step of extending the length of a projection formed in the first step by rear-squeezing performed by pushing a punch into the projection, thereby producing an axis with a sufficient height and high precision.
